Each sub-section of an incursion also features a “time to swarm” clock, which you want to pay attention to. It’s a solid risk/reward setup that lends a feeling of accomplishment every time you are able to complete all three objectives in a single incursion. You can extract at any time but choosing to go for extra objectives can earn you far larger experience rewards. Missions are known as incursions and contain procedural generation for how the map is laid out on each run. Your operators cannot heal their base HP mid-mission and can go down incredibly quickly after only a few enemy attacks. Deliberate is a proper word to describe every part of this game, at least on controller, and especially as the difficulty increases. This is not a horde co-op shooter in the same vein as B4B either. None of it is great, but it is far better than the recently released Back 4 Blood and I didn’t immediately hate every single character here. There is quite a bit of world-building and pre-rendered cutscene work. Each has their own 10 levels to earn as you progress through the main story. There are 18 operators from Rainbow 6 Siege in the mix here. With a name worthy of adoration for just how terrible it is, the US government responds by creating the Rainbow Exogenous Analysis and Containment Team (REACT). After a very smart man brings it back to his home a potential world destroying alien species known as the Archaeans begins to infest any and everything. Inactive Operators won't lose progress towards their level, but you need to heal them to play them on future Incursions.Ĭheck out our guide on How to Heal Inactive Operators to learn more.A Soyuz capsule has crash-landed in the New Mexico desert. However, you won't be able to use them immediately, as their status goes from MIA to Inactive. To make sure you can always deploy into an incursion, the game will automatically return the earliest MIA Operator with 1 HP to your roster if needed. Managing to level up an Operator to Advancement level 10 will secure their progression regardless of MIA status. If you fail to rescue your MIA Operator during an Incursion, it will result in some of that Operator's progression loss. You can also go on a solo incursion to rescue the MIA Operator on your own.A successfully rescued MIA Operator will be immediately available for your next incursion with full HP.But don't worry, though yours might not be the one getting rescued physically, you'll see that your Operator is no longer MIA during the Incursion Summary. Once you managed to free the trapped Operator, you must carry them back to the Extraction Zone and secure them inside the Extraction POD to complete the objective.ĭuring an MIA Rescue objective, you might notice that the name of the MIA Operator is not the same as yours-this is because a squadmate has an MIA Operator as well. While you are trying to pry away the Operator from the tree, your squad must weaken the tree by shooting at its several anchor points and the pulsating waves sent by them (if you're playing solo, you'll need to do balance both tasks on your own). When you're finally in the subzone of the MIA Rescue Objective, you'll need to locate a Chimera Archæan tree to free the trapped Operator. In that case, you won't be able to rescue that MIA Operator-you must go on an incursion in Monolith Gardens to save them. For example, suppose your Operator goes MIA in Monolith Gardens, and you hop in an Incursion on Liberty Island. To get them back in your rotation of characters, you must rescue your MIA Operators in the same Incursion level where they die. It's best to rescue them as soon as possible.
